Art NE Workshops, Summer 2015

Posted on December 20, 2015

Last summer, I attended for the first time the Art New England summer workshops at Bennington College, my way partially funded by a grant from the Vermont Arts Council. I studied Landscape Painting with Frank Meuschke. Frank’s approach was more about the theory and history of landscape art rather than technique, but painting for 8 hours a day is self-instructive and advances in technique are inevitable.

The painting I was happiest with that week was an oil of conjoined birch trees. I don’t consider it finished and took photos of the tree(s) so I can continue working on it.

Figure drawing is available every evening and I managed to make it to one session:

Hi there just wanted to give you a quick
heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading correctly.

I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two
different internet browsers and both show the same results.
